Whether you have found an injured animal, want to adopt, or need to reach us about a donation, here is how.

Found an injured animal?

For emergencies only. Answered at any hour, every day of the year. If an animal is caught in a snare or badly hurt, call—do not email, and do not wait.

Before you call, if you can

The more of this you have ready, the faster we can reach the animal. Do not delay calling to gather it all—tell us what you know and we will work the rest out with you.

  • Exactly where the animal is. Many rescues are in remote hills where a road name is not enough. On your phone, open Google Maps, press and hold on your position until a pin drops, then share that pin with us. A screenshot of the coordinates works too.
  • What is wrong. Caught in a snare, hit by a vehicle, sick, trapped, or something else.
  • What the animal is. Dog or cat, rough size, colour, and whether there are others with it.
  • Photos or a short video—of both the animal and the surroundings. The animal tells us what veterinary help to bring. The surroundings tell us how to reach the animal and what equipment we need.
  • How the animal is behaving. Friendly, frightened, defensive, or unable to move. This decides how many of us come and what we bring.
  • Where it came from, and where it went. Both matter. Where it came from is often where it sleeps, and often where it was hurt—so it tells us where to look, and where the snare may still be. If it has moved off, tell us which direction and how long ago.

Ways to reach us

Adopting a dog or cat

Where we are

We run three no-kill sanctuaries, all in Sanzhi District, New Taipei City, in the hills of Taiwan’s north coast. Visits are by appointment only—please call or email before travelling, as our teams are often out on rescues.

The ARK

Dogs · Sanzhi District, New Taipei City

Our largest site, home to 186 dogs, on land that was previously a tree farm. More than 30 living gardens, three exercise gardens, and 18 roomy kennels for newly rescued dogs.

Dogs · Dianzi Village, Sanzhi District

The Cats’ Cradle

A house converted into a rescue and rehoming centre for cats, created in 2019. Home to 87 cats.

Other ways to help

If you were looking for a way to support the animals rather than to ask us something, these are the two that help most.
