About William
I am a gentle soul who loves being close to people and soaking up every moment of companionship. I enjoy quiet moments together and am happiest when I can curl up beside you, feeling safe and loved. My calm and affectionate nature makes me the perfect friend for anyone who cherishes a peaceful, loving presence.
My story
“Hi, I’m William.
I was rescued in Hsinchu. My right hind paw had been badly hurt, and back then every step was painful. Then I met StrayKind—they took me in, got me the treatment I needed, and gave me a name of my own.
I’ve healed well since. I’m missing that back paw now, but it doesn’t slow me down, and honestly I’d rather be resting beside you than dashing about anyway. I’m around seven years old, and I’ve grown into a gentle, easy-going gentleman who loves quiet company.
Now I’m hoping for a calm indoor home where I can be your one and only—a patient, kind place to settle into and be a devoted companion for the rest of my days.”
Health & care
Missing a right hind paw, though it doesn't slow him down. William is FIV positive—which sounds more daunting than it is: FIV isn't spread through shared bowls, litter trays or everyday contact, only through deep bite wounds. He's a gentle boy who doesn't pick fights, and he's living happily alongside other cats right now, so he doesn't need to be an only cat—he can share a home with other easy-going cats he gets along with. We talk FIV through with every adopter and assess each home individually. A calm indoor home suits him best.
Could you give William a home?
